RADRIDER becomes "Artist In Residence" at Camp of Champions

Posted: Jun 8, 2009

After seeing Braden Bohme "AKA" Pinkbike member RadRider's amazing art on the bikes he Sharpied, everyone at Camp of Champions thought it would be super dope to have him come to COC be the "Artist In Residence" and Sharpie up all the Transition frames that are given out as prizes during Camp of Champions, while campers watch and give input.

RadRider will make his studio in the COC Demo Room in "The Dorm" The Camp of Champions' tricked out home for the summer. During the day, RadRider will be hitting the park with the COC campers and coaches like Casey Groves and Alan Hepburn, and then during the afternoon/evening he will transform each of the give-away prize Transition frames into a work of art. Campers will be able to check out the frame as the art progresses, see how the process is done on each frame, and then if they are lucky, be the winner and take the frame home. You will also be able to check out the art on the bikes as it happens with our daily blog. The Blog has all the riding, activities and more from the day. Photos and videos showing RadRider turn the Transitions into art bikes will be be a common occurrence on the COC Blog.

At The Camp of Champions a big part of camp is helping to inspire people to push and progress at what they do. Riding, art, photos, video and more. This is our way of supporting the arts, helping launch riders, artists, photographers and videographers in to the industry and getting our COC vibe out to a wider audience.
