Camp of Champions Announces Casey Groves Bike Winner

For the last month The Camp of Champions has been running a contest on Pinkbike to celebrate the World Premiere of “What’s Next”, Aaron Larocque’s new movie. The Grand Prize was Casey Groves’s bike - a Transition Blindside pimped out by RaceFace, Straitline, Geax and Camp of Champions. The bike is off the hook and to enter to win you had to friend up or add your support to the sponsors of the contest.

The Camp of Champions What's Next Premiere Goes Off

What a day and night to remember. We started building the scaffold at 5:30 AM to have it ready for noon. By the time it was finished it was 1:30, but it was nuts. Everyone was hyped for The Camp of Champions World Premiere of "What's Next?" on the big screens on top of the tower and entering to win the pimped out Banshee Wildcard at the bottom of the tower. The Longhorn patio was perfectly placed to watch the Giant Slalom go off in the Boneyard.

Ladies Week at COC Starts in Two Weeks

Darcy Turenne and Wendy Robinson host the Ladies Session at COC. It's the first week of camp, June 20 - 27th. It's going to be a really fun week with a lot of riding.

Get what feels like an extra season of riding in just one week of coaching.

RADRIDER becomes "Artist In Residence" at Camp of Champions

After seeing Braden Bohme "AKA" Pinkbike member RadRider's amazing art on the bikes he Sharpied, everyone at Camp of Champions thought it would be super dope to have him come to COC be the "Artist In Residence" and Sharpie up all the Transition frames that are given out as prizes during Camp of Champions, while campers watch and give input.

COC COACH TRENT KIDD ON THE COVER OF DIRTRAG

Camp of Champions photographer Mike Crane rides every day of camp with a 30 pound backpack loaded with flashes, cameras, a tripod, light stands, and god knows what else. He slays it every day for the campers and coaches. Dirtrag just put a photo of Trent Kidd dropping Drop In Clinic, on the cover. We're doubly stoked that it was shot while he was coaching kidds. We're stoked for Trent, Mike and all the campers that were there watching it go down.

Grand Opening Celebration on The Longhorn Patio was unreal.

The Opening Day Celebration went off! There was probably 800 people on the patio of the Longhorn and outside once the patio was full. It was an amazing day with people riding the new Banshee's, checking out the latest stuff from Transition and Straitline and finding out about COC.

Thinking opening day never gets the party it deserves, The Camp of Champions thought we'd throw one. To celebrate the return of the king... The Whistler Bike Park, The Camp of Champions Mountain Bike Camp is throwing The Bike Park Opening Day Celebration at the Longhorn with $12,000 in draw prizes, on opening day, May 16, 2009 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

After getting under sold by Shawn, the head Diabro of the Diablo Freeride Park, we shortened our trip before we even got to New Jersey. FOOLS! Diablo was so much fun we all wished we had added another week at least, to our tickets.
